good low profile helmets
I have a problem....a large head. I hate the way most bike helmets look and feel, and after having a run in with a car the other day I want to wear a helmet, but the one I have I hate...Granted it is better to wear it instead of getting my brain scrambled. I have been looking, but would love any suggestions. Thanks

Well, for the most part the more expensive the helmet the lower profile it probably is. (If you have a spare $150 burning a hole in your pocket.) Some of the European helmets may be smaller than the US offerings.

Visit several bike shops and try on helmets for fit. Different brands presume slightly different head shapes and so fit differently. Choose whatever one you find that fits most comfortably as comfort is the primary concern in a bike helmet. They are all built to meet the same safety standards. After all you cannot see yourself in it when riding!
With a large head choose a model that comes in multiple sizes rather than the 1 size fits all cheaper models.
