How did you mod it to fit? I found they were too short and the tube protruded fom them when i tried using the pads from my old Sony.
BTW, I even use the small pads from those

Take the hard plastic liner from the foamies and cut it in half so you have two pieces (one for each side). Then stick it onto the tube, that way when the sony plugs go on it, it only goes on half way.
You can also try stretching the sony plug over the plastic liner a little then krazy glue it to the liner (not the tube).
[/Tangent]
EDIT: Kinda like this.

humm.. IPOD? well, the other day I saw a kid riding his rode bike with his ipod attached to the handle bar.. it may see all good and dandy till a crash happened. kid was find.. but ipod is crack for good. LCD screen has 3 hugh crack on it.. and won't even boot up.
i have the flash based one... 128MB with a sports strap. it's made by the company i work for... it's not the biggest thing anymore.. but works well for me.. plus it pays to be a Product Marketing manager.. hehe

Alright Im gunna ask another question. How do yall feel about riding while listening? I use to be a big advocate for NOT listening while riding. But I started thinking, what if you put one plug in your right ear and left your left ear free to hear. I mean, dont we listen to the radio in the car when we drive?

I understand where your coming from when you say you have a metal shield around us. But that doesnt nesscerial keep us from being hurt/killed. The music still takes away our attention to some degree, I'm just curious to know how much more dangerous listening to music on a bike is than listening in a car. I personally think its about the same

hmmm well i used to do that one ear only thing and it totally worked but annoying having this bud hanging from the other side. however, now i just use real cheap headphones so i dont have to worry about that. they dont block anything. i keep the music fairly low and use those and I am good. i can hold up a conversation with bf going around the park with my music now. still works better if i shut it off and take off the headphones but good enough so i can hear. as long as u can hear outside noise and stay aware i think you are good.

i cant even listen while riding because (i imagine) the wind noise would be too much to hear the music over earphones... hell i can barely hear my friend 5ft away when barrelling down the street at 25mph..
perhaps you can have a player and small portable speaker mounted on the h-bar but seems like a waste to me

oo yea good point about wind. i barely hear music when flying down hill but works for the generic portion of my ride. and in cases of high wind the music doesnt impede my hearing that much more than the horrendous wind so it is all cool.
