We had a NYE party at our house this year, and it was great. Lots of good food, drinks, dancing and socializing. A few of us decided to catch the sunrise on our bikes, so we prepared to push off as soon as the other guests left, around 3:30-4 a.m. The viewpoint is only 2.5 miles from my house, so it was a short and pleasant ride (although the last leg was a real quadbuster). Well worth it. We saw the sun come up over the valley & even sighted the Goodyear blimp ~20 miles away. 2010 is off to a fresh start, Happy New Year to you all!

Feel free to share your first ride of '10

I didn’t get out as early as sun rise but I did get in a good 45 miles today. Had great weather and the ride had everything I could ask for. Some reasonable pace line riding some short climbs and some longer climbs and hot coffee before heading home. Good way to start the year.

I am planning to get my first ride of 2010 tomorrow, getting sand for the driveway with the trailer. Sunday night I go back to work.
