Depends on your financial situation. Wouldn't upset my wife at all, but then again, I do our finances. She gets a little irritated when I buy a bike I didn't need but that's only because I tell her no when she wants one she doesn't need. I'm such a hypocrite.

She won't have a clue until the goods are delivered, will she? That gives you some time to come up with a strategy.

You're a team, and that applies to the finances, too. If you're on a budget and you've blown it with this order, fess up now and promise to belt tighten. If your finances are very tight right now and, given the shape of the economy that's fairly common, maybe both of you need to discuss whether any of the items need to be returned.

haha... she was cool about it... she came home, i say "guess what"... she says, "u bought a bike". I says, nope just a roller trainer, and a fluid trainer, and some shoes, and some tubes, tires, and a pair of shorts... She says, uuh, alright
what a gem
fwiw, i just started working after 7 years pursuing my doctorate, and she is finishing her masters... we are finally able to have some spare cash to spend, so we are doing so (responsibly). After all, performance bike had 10% off sale items, so basically everything shipped free, and was as cheap or less than ebay

Nice. What kind of rollers? I assume the Traveltrack Technique pro? If so, you shall not be disappointed... unless you have downstairs neighbors and end up riding at >30 mph for long periods of time.

Now I can look around the room, stare at the cassette while I try to figure out what I did to the RD, etc. without much trouble.
