minimum 125 psi? really? (specialized all condition)

just got new tires to replace my 8 dollar internet specials... specialized all condition sports. sidewall suggests minimum inflation of 115-125 if i read correctly... is this correct? I am 215, and it seems like a really high pressure situation if you ask me... but thats y i am asking here... tires are 25c FWIW.

hopefully these will be less flat prone as the paper thin tires i had

Is that minimum or maximum? If it's max, pay attention. If it's minimum I think you can safely go under. If you start getting pinch flats, increase the pressure.

"700 x 25 approx. weight 325g, PSI: 115-125*"

It looks like the range of pressure is 115 to 125 (that is, 125 is not a minimum but a maximum).

crank those babies up and enjoy! I'm 221lbs and pump mine to 120. they are very comfortable even at that pressure. mine are 700 x 28c and others are 27 x 1/14. I use the same pressure for both. just be sure you have good quality cloth type rim tape! :-)

I use the same tires on my '07 Sirrus. I weigh around 200lbs and run my pressure at 125 lbs with no problems.

115-125 is correct. They are GREAT tires. I use the Specialized Infinities and love them they also go up to 115 or 125 i believe. My Mondo Sports on the Allez I don't like as much, but they are also similar tire pressure rating.

Only two risks normally with very high pressure tires such as these. If mounted on old style rims w/o a hooked edge they might blow off the rim. Such rims normally restrict pressure to about 80 PSI absolute maximum. If rim sidewalls are badly worn the high pressure can risk rim failure.
