Upgrade to sell?

Question. I have an older{real} shwinn Le Tour in nice shape, but with old school down tube shifters. Is it worth the cost of the shifters to upgrade to STI's before i try to sell it? I can probly git a set of sora's or RSX's off ebay for $70. But will it add $70 to the sale price? thanks! and ride safe!

Someone in the Classic & Vintage forum may be interested in buying it -- as is.

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

Not even close.

Not only do I doubt you'd recover your investment, it might even decrease your bike's sale value.

You'll get more for it if you strip it of all components and sell it as a fixed gear conversion.

Enjoy

Don't upgrade anything, just sell it as is. There is no investment here.
