I believe this is somewhere in New Jersey. wow and i thought Boston traffic signals were confusing! my cousin said he was so busy taking the pic w/ his cell phone that he blew right through the stop sign! eek!

edit - not NJ: Ansonia CT. Near Griffin (sp?) hospital

Judging by the angle, turning left from the left lane it would be nearly impossible to check for traffic, and actually impossible to make the turn with a semi. Is it a road that trucks use?

Then again, is the crossing street one way to the right? I'd like to see the road layout there.

Definitely a WTF moment coming upon it for the first time.

I thought left turns were illegal in New Jersey, along with pumping gasoline and liability insurance.

that's an exceptional NYC sign! I love it. A bit too restrictive but I love it cuz in the past the signs have kept me wondering even though "in theory" it was a legitimate spot
