Ok so this whole bic thing made it to the telemarktips.com forums that I also read (they lock stuff up too don cha know) any how I discovered this through that channel.

It was a bic pen shaft. Starting bid was a dollar, 25 of them availible. shipping $4 or $25 outside the USA.
The decription was something like
"Designed in France, works with most krypto U locks, made of an impact resistant polymer, easy enough for anyone to use. Why spend large bucks on a bike when you can ride someone elses? Results will vary based on user skill and lock model."
