Tendonitis from riding?

My right elbow has been flaring up with tendinitis when I ride, has anyone else had something similar? Is it the geometry of my riding position? I ride on paved roads 95% of the time and am not doing a lot of shock absorption as I might be if I were off road, I am just wondering if I am just getting old or am not positioned right on my bike.
