Ikea Bike!

Well, I work at the Ikea in South Philly and apparently they are giving us all bikes for Christmas! I heard they are mountain bikes with the Swedish flag on them or something but havent seen them yet. Pics when I get it.

What does this have to do with SS/FG?

Moving to 'General'.

you'll always lose the tools you need to assemble it and it will use weird hardware that falls out and you can't find anywhere.

I heard it's made out of particle board and it would fall apart after a couple of rides.

Now thats a weird looking bike.

Full suspension frame but without a suspension, making it a hardtail. But wait, the seatpost is severed into two parts, taking away it's hardtail.

It'll be flat-packed and you'll have to assemble it with shoddy tools, you know. Also, it will have a name like "Flogschlorpf" or "Hosengruven".

Just busting your chops...a free bike is a free bike. Enjoy.

I rather assemble a bunch of POÄNGs with undersized allen keys using dubious instruction sheet than ride that piece of metal contraption.
See if Ikea management would exchange that bicycle for a week's worth of Manager's Special instead.

Bikes: I never learned to ride a bike. It is my deepest shame.

It may not be a great bike, but it is a free bike nonetheless! If you already have one or more good quality bikes you should give that one a proper tune-up and assembly and give it to some deserving soul. It is becoming more and more rare to see a cheap bike without an even cheaper suspension fork, so it is nice to see a cheap rigid bike that will need less maintenance than some of the other BSOs out there.
