Attacked By a Wasp and Hit New Top Speed!

My wife and I went on our typical 16 mile, weekend ride and about 5 miles into the ride, I felt something on my leg. When I looked to see what it was, i nearly fell off my bike... it was a huge wasp! So, I start waving my right hand to get it away from me, and I think I actually hit it. As I look around to see where it went, I noticed that it's still hovering right by me. I think I pissed it off! That's when I decided to see if I can out ride it... I pedaled as hard as I could, i didn't even look at my cyclometer... all i could think about was getting away from that thing. Anyway, after a couple minutes of hard pedaling, I finally lost it. And when I looked down at my cyclometer, I noticed I hit 32.9 mph!!! This was on flat ground with no wind. Talk about having some motivation... lol. The great thing is, I brought my camera to take some pics to post on my Tour de Cure page, so I was able to capture some evidence...

Your speed record does not count because of the presence of a performance enhancing stinging insect.
Nice try, though, and congrats on outrunning the bugger.

HAHAHAHA... I should attack a bunch of angry insects before every ride! That'll get me in shape in no time!!! LMFAO.

It was probably just attracted to the salt on your skin.

Most wasps aren`t particularly aggressive unless you threaten their nest. A lot like people in that sense.

You should see what a pack of wild dogs can do for your top-end sprint. Or a pack of drunk teenage boys in a pickup truck.

Wild dogs would definitely do the trick! Not sure about the drunk teenage boys...With my ego, I'd probably be more inclined to hop off my bike and start yelling "bring it on" as i use hand gestures to entice them to do just that.
