It was a 1970 _____ . Maybe a GTO. Can't remember at the moment. She bought him the car, it was "stolen" and then overhauled for him as a surprise.

It is a GTO ragtop. Sweet ride!!! Always did love the Goat, but not so much the new abomination (Aussie built Holden Monaro with Pontiac logos).

BTW- the show airs on Tusday 11/30.

Sheryl will present lance with a fully manual pedal powered 20 speed GTO.
Lance with present sheryl with a 6 speed 350 HP madone.
Hilarity ensues.

I can think of better things to do like perhaps going for a ride.

There's also that Pimp my body show on FOX where they take butt ugly women and make them halfway decent by radically restructuring their entire bodies over a 3 month period.

I happened across one of these the other day. They were performing a lipo-suction procedure on somebody along with a facial lift. I found this show to be somewhat scary and strange.

I can't imagine watching this for hours on end, let alone having any of these procedures done.

I hope they don't ruin the GTO. A true classic. You can only MOD it so far before you take away from its own beauty. (ironically I hate cars and don't drive, the reason, I love muscle cars, I would be broke and kill myself if I ever drove a car)

Anything Chip Foose touches will only increase in beauty. That guy is a total genius in the custom car field.

You're right in a way though, a vintage GTO is a wondrous thing.

Couldn't agree more. That's why I sold my TV 7 months ago and haven't missed a thing.

You can read a little more about the transformation here....

https://www.usoc.org/11796_27251.htm

It wasn't exactly a classic GTO: 1970 Powderblue. However, the final product sounds like it's pure Foose... Basically a "Year One" make-over with all new running gear, new interior, custom wheels, yada, yada, yada....

I've caught two or three of the shows by accident late at night (Chevelle, BelAir Roadster, Ford Coupe). If you ignore the stupid hosts and follow the build the Overhaulin series isn't all that bad. These are some of the best in biz who show you what is possible when you have unlimited funds...

Hopefully they'll do a better job of making it cool without going overboard and turning it into a streetrod version of the POS OCC chopper. However, since TLC is just another part of the Discovery Channel it's doubtful that this will be anything but another part of the Discovery deal with Armstrong.

Parting shot: What kind of an idiot would spend $15k on a POS '70 GTO in the first place?
A. A reality TV show producer
B. A pop singer who likes to piss away money
C. Any other spendthrift who doesn't know squat about cars

Oh, man This crap makes me sick. All that talk, 10 minutes out of the whole show is the build, the rest is father son relationship that Freud would gladly take interest in if he was alive.

Has to be one of the most Butt Ugly bikes (motorized) ever built.

Looks like something John Belushi would have ridden while doing the bees shtick on SNL

Hey man, what can I say, I'm not in love with it either. However It's a theme bike, and opinions vary not all bikes are black with chrome....
By the way, I saw the commercial for the episode today on TLC. It’s going to be shown on November 30th here in NY, for those who’s interested.
