It's a Rant
Had to get this out.
Many of you may be familiar with Velo Orange.
Last Autumn they sent me a notice that the 50.4bcd Grand Cru crankset was back in stock.
No sooner did I log in to order than I discover the 170mm crank version is already sold out.
Having waited a good year for the crankset to be available I was a tad ticked.
Contacted em and was assured the 170mm version would be back in stock 'soon'
The hollidays arrived and all stuff cycling was put on a back burner.
Never having heard back from them (and now in possession of my tax return)I visited the site and learned..the 170mm version was still 'out of stock'
However..(and here's the rant)
VO Is now selling the arms alone for $110. and they list the 170mm as being in stock.
They Offer the large chainring as a seperate in 50t-48t-46t. $70
They Offer the small chainring as a seperate in 28t or 30t $40
The offer the double hardware as a seperate $19.
I haven't heard back but,ype, I asked the obvious.
IF you have the arms in 170 what's the issue with making up the complete crankset for the advertised $200.
(fwiw if it comes to it, I will order the items seperate because I really want this crankset for the Paramount. )

Problem solved/rant retracted
and my thanks to the folks at Velo Orange.
Apparently e-mails crossed paths and at least one (from VO )never arrived.
Velo Orange has agreed to put one together for me at the assembled price ($200.)
Further, they're going to hold it till february 3rd when I can place the order.
Cudos To V.O.
