Adjusting a Noseless Saddle?

Been trying to get Mom into riding a bike for health and fun.
Succesful so far, she's enthusiastic enough that she went to walmart on her own and picked out a 'more comfortable' saddle.
problem is, its a schwinn noseless saddle.
So as not to discrourage... I'll keep quiet and install it for her...
But does anyone here have advice on making these things work?

since the saddle is wide and noseless... when I try riding it myself i find that it prevents my thighs from ever becoming fully vertical - constrained range of leg motion, no full extension; thus it is not ridable unless i set the seatpost far lower than normal. While Mom claims that this feels great for her (shes focusing just on butt pressure) I worry about overall performance, like leg cramps over time, lack of power, etc. I'm also feeling like it needs more setback so it would be out of my way so to speak..., however there's virtually none in the saddle rails...
So, any advice on how to setup a noseless saddle properly/ how to ride with one?
Thanks

Seats are all about personal preference, it may be awkward for you but ideal for her. Try not to worry so much about it unless she gets inconsistent or unusual aches etc then look at the set up.

Bikes: Giant Excursion, Raleigh Sports, Raleigh R.S.W. Compact, Motobecane? and about 20 more! OMG

I have two of those things that I pulled off of bikes, I can't ride them either. I would set it a bit lower than the norm and let her ride away into the sunset, if she complains about lack of power or leg cramps then you can worry about trying a different adjustment.
