was it worth it
i have been riding dept. store bikes my whole life and decided to invest in a actual name brand bike, especially living in minneapolis, but anyways i just purchased a 2010 gary fisher simple city 3 speed for commuting and i was wondering if it's worth the $250 I paid?

This. $250 isn't much for the entertainment and exercise a bicycle can provide.
Also it looks like it went for $600 new according to BikePedia

“was it worth it”
Actually only you can answer that question. Do you like the bike? Are you going to actually use the bike? If you answered yes to both of those questions, then the bike was probably worth every cent you paid for it.
Personally when it comes to entertainment, I feel that time I spend on my bike is far more valuable to me than the time I spend in front of this computer.
