Clean Bottle question

I'm wondering if anyone else uses Clean Bottles for their rides and if so, so you have the following problem?

I use two Clean Bottles when I ride. Usually have water in one and Powerade Zero in the other. I'd say that within the last three weeks or so, both of them have developed leaks at the bottom of the bottle when I tip them to take a drink. It happens on both bottles no matter how tightly I screw on the bottoms. Is this a common problem/complaint, or are mine just wearing out? I've had them both since last August, so it's not like they are all that old.

Thanks in advance for any info provided

I have one but didn't use it enough to have that issue. I actually don't think it's any better than a normal bottle and not as good as an insulated bottle. I stopped using the Clean Bottle and gave it to my wife to use during her work-outs.

I have had mine for about the same time, last August, i haven't have the issue that you are having... yet. I thought that it might be a problem that the bottom one would leak so i took extra special care with the bottom lid. When i "tighten" it down i screw it on there so that it's tight but it still has about a quarter turn that i could really crank down on it. I have refrained from really cranking it down as to not crush the gasket that is in there. That being said when my wife and i do the dishes she usually put my water bottles away and she tightens it down. She can't hardly get the cap off a mayo jar so i know it's not on there extremely tight. The only thing i can think of and my only advice right now would be to avoid over tightening the bottom.

Water bottles for your rides should not have to be "babied" to avoid any leaks or problems. They are relatively cheap and easy to clean.
