Egg Beater Question
Hey all, I'm just sitting here, looking at my Egg Beater cleats and wondering: "how the hell does switching one cleat to the other foot affect how both disengage?" To those who aren't sure what I'm talking about: Egg Beaters come with two cleats, one is marked and one is not. You put the marked one on your right foot for a 15 degree release angle and change it to your left foot for a 20 degree release.

Gah! I think I just answered my own question. After sitting here thinking about it for a few seconds I realized I made an assumption:I thought they were symmetrical, something I assumed since I first saw them. But looking at them now, I see that they look at bit asymmetrical. That would change things a bit, lol.
Ok, forget that, what a waste of a thread... uh how about a brain teaser: what would happen if you used two cleats with dots at the same time or two without? LOL.

Nothing like figuring something out for yourself.

I had the same question when I got my eggbeaters. After riding and swapping L-R cleats and later examining the cleats, I too figured it out.
