what bike should i tell my friend to get.
I have a friend that i got into biking but she has a really crappy roadmaster wallmart bike. She wants to get a new lighter bike, she likes neon colors(mostly green) but i can't find anything that i would recommend to her. she wants multi speed and likes more comfort type bikes(she did like my gary fisher pro caliber a little bit once she got used to it). She's got a lot of potential, when i let her use a friends cross country bike she took right off. so if anyone has any idea what she should get please let me know. she doesn't want to spend more than $350 if it can be helped. thanks.

What brands are sold in the bike shop you like doing business with?
The After Sale Service is there. a $350 bike in a bikeshop
is close to the same across the Brand names.
it is About entry level at current costs..

If she wants comfort, take a look at recumbents (although, at those prices, you'd be looking at used). Don't oversell that, though. A lot of people, once they get on a decent cyclocross or road bike, will really feel the difference, and be willing to put in the time and effort to get used to it.

Also thinking about getting a frame and putting together a build kit. Both my bikes I made from the frame up and she kinda' likes that idea.
