Need Help Comparing two Cyclocross Bikes

here is how you compare things..
Find the parts list break down for each, print it out,
and cross reference what the Product manager chose .
purpose : commuting , CX Racing or just riding?
Anything bolted on the frame can be changed for something else if you wish.

Thank a bunch! At the moment the bike will be used mainly for commuting and as a way to work out. Sorry for not knowing, but what do you mean by cross referencing what the product manager chose? Where do I look up that information?

Where do I look up that information?
Bike brand and Model, ..product websites Distributors -Importers
Example: Shimano has ranks of parts All made to work but fulfill a target price point.
There are several companies mostly in Asia , now, competing for the Manufacturers business, to ship truck sized loads of parts to other companies that make the frames..
Almost all Brands go to a few Contract manufacturers , sending CAD drawings and Specs over the web makes that easy, now.
the same company makes many brands of bikes for the various importers, and their partial assmbly and boxing for shipping crews, follow a parts pick list dictated by the Importer..the guy who sorts out what everything costs
and so what parts will be best to meet the target price point, for that bike model, is the Product Manager.
In that Cross also includes Hybrids , that may be what you actually need .
I'd go hang out a Bike shops and learn from what you see on the floor..
