REI Headwind Cycling Pants

I really like the REI headwind cycling pants. I think they struck a nice balance between fitted, but not tight. Sadly, it sounds like REI has discontinued them, despite glowing reviews.

Gore Bike Wear has the ALP-X 2.0 Windstopper, though they are much more expensive. Does anyone know of another pant that is similar to the REI headwind?

Love my REI Headwinds pants, too, and was actually thinking of buying another pair. They're not currently listed on the REI website so you're probably right ... they've phased them out. I bought a couple of nice cycling jerseys at REI last summer and they disappeared from their website, too.

Will they be replaced by a new (and maybe better) Novara product later? Who knows? Maybe we'll just have to buy a similar product from a different vendor (and probably at a higher price).

I spoke with someone at REI and they said they won't be getting any more of the headwind pants in. I'm not sure why they have been discontinued.
