Help with Minoura trainer?
Hello all!
I recently purchased a Minoura Mag 850 trainer second hand. I just tried to set it up, and my wheel seems like it's just a little too big... the flywheel presses deeply into the tire when I put the bike on, so I need to back it up a bit. I cannot figure out how to adjust the height of the flywheel so my wheel will fit. I have 700x23 tires. Can anyone help?
The instruction manual does not actually have any instructions. And I have googled the heck out of this issue and can't find anything.
TIA!

It looks from the schematic like there isn't any manual adjustment, unlike the current Minoura trainers, which have a knob. Is there a spring that presses the roller against the tire? Does pressing down on the foot pedal disengage the roller? If there's a spring that keeps the roller in place, then I think the only solution is to pump up the tire to a higher pressure.

I have a fairly old minoura trainer, on mine there's a lever or foot lever depending on your perspective that raises the roller shaft up to meet the wheel, on the underside of said lever is a turn knob that controls the height, try looking there maybe?

Thank you both! I ended up contacting Minoura support and it turned out I did have the wheel completely disengaged, but I actually had a bracket attached to the flywheel for use with smaller wheel sizes. Removed that and problem solved. Thank you for your help!
