Are Nitto stems anodized?

Does anyone know if the Nitto Technomic Deluxe stems are anodized, or otherwise coated? I have the opportunity to buy one used, and I was just wondering if they can be polished without removing a coating.
Thanks!

Most of mine are just natural aluminum with some polishing. I have two that I used a buffing wheel on and got to a brilliant polish level.
