Best Shoes?
What are some of the best shoes for the best price?
I'm looking at the Sidi right now are they the best for the price?
They're $200.
I would like a really nice pair.
I have a size 9 foot and I would like these for a good year, two years what is the biggest size I can get and be comfortable in?
My feet are still growing an I don't want them to be too small by summer.

others will have differing opinions, but Sidi's changed my life. They are so firm & stiff & comfortable, I joke that i wear them to work!
you could probably go up to a size 44+ and be good (heavier socks for example)
I think they have 1/2 sizes in that range too.
i found mine for $179... but as my friend says, even if you pay $250, no one would blame you.

Hi,
I love Sidi shoes. But... if your feet are still growing... it's just too much money for something you'll outgrow.
Go to a few bike shops, try some shoes on. You could also
take a look at the various internet places like Performance or Nashbar, they have nice closeout deals this time of year.
Also take a peek at Sierra Trading Post.

Last time I checked, Sierra Trading had some NOS Northwaves at blowout prices (try $45 for $145 shoes). I used to ride Sidis until I discovered Northwaves. As well made at the upper end, as stiff, but more comfortable (at least for me--Sidis were always a bit narrow through the toe box).

I didn't want to spend the money for Sidi Genius.
I tried on various other brands, then tried Sidi.
I spent the money for the Sidis; there was no contest in fit for my particular foot.

I agree with the others I have sidi genius for road and another pair of Sidi's for mountain bike they are by far my favorite shoes. Extremely confortable.
I also have a lower end of Sidi shoes, I can't remember the name off-hand for them, I got them on closeout for $40.. I wear size 9 shoes and got size 42.. You could go up to 44 and give you room to grow into them. Of course I stopped growing when I was 13...

My feet have been giving me slight problems in the heel area as of late which has led me to think my Performance "specials" (about $40) might not be cutting it anymore; and might possibly be contributing to my problem. Based on the glowing reviews, I will definitely check out Sidis - I've always liked their look (stylish, durable, comfortable looking) but was apprehensive about the cost. Now, I feel, if they do the trick for my wide "Frankenfeet," it'll be well worth the money...

If you like 'em, there's a kayak shop -- yeah, kayak? -- in downtown that carries 'em locally.

If you wider feet check out the sidi mega shoes they are meant for people with wider feet. Sidi's range in price from $60-200.. you can find them on sale periodicaly for around $40. Next time you are in the LBS be sure to try on a pair you're feet will thank you. I figure they are expensive no doubt about it, but you will have the same pair for years. And if buckles fail.. heels wear out etc.. you can get replacements and they are not very expensive.

Sidi's top of the line goes beyond $200.-. I bought mine for $20.- on sale(ok, I'm a cheap guy) at Nashbar. If you take time to look around, online stores often have dirt cheap deals that you don't mind throw away after your feet out grow the shoes. Italian shoes in general and not only Sidi, I have Diadora also, fit my feet nicely. I bought all of them online and not have to worry about the fit.

Sidi makes a very nice shoe. So does Shimano, Pearl Izumi. The very best thing to do is go try some on for their fit. Not all shoe makers size their shoes the same. Believe me it makes all the difference.
