Another helmet help request thread - flat headed

Currently don't have a helmet. I tried testing the limits of braking with one hand going down hill a few days ago and ate it. Bumped head, was fine but since I just upgraded to a road bike, I'm seriously considering a helmet. Only issue is that I have a relatively flat back head most of the helmets I've tried are not fitting properly. All of them have a gap behind the head and leave painful hotspots on top-sides.

Did anyone else face this predicatment and find a solution? It seems like we're being pushed out by the market. I gave up motorcycling because of the same issue, simply couldn't find a proper fitting helmet.

Additional foam pads are available that should allow you to customize the fit.
