Biking and streams

Hi,

First time poster! *waves*

I recently started biking again after a couple of years off, in between I've become quite the .. computer geek as well - Where I've started streaming some general gaming etc.
But I had this little idea of having a Biking stream,
So I was wondering, are there others who do this? I'm not thinking about the official big biking streams from.. tour de france etc , but just a person and his bike!
And, does this sound totally idiotic?

Anyway, hope to hear your two cent.

Gonna be lurking around here for a while, seems like a really nice place to hang out !

Thanks for your time.

Garmin does it if you mean a live map with a shareable link.

Oh, sorry if I didn't really describe much, haha.

I basically mean a camera on your bike and you stream the actual video feed online - with some kickass music in the background!
(Maybe some sort of map feature along with MPH, etc there also)

Again, sorry.

Bikes: Giant Excursion, Raleigh Sports, Raleigh R.S.W. Compact, Motobecane? and about 20 more! OMG

Never seen that outside of youtube videos...

Not really into watching other peoples' riding.

I would not be interested in watching someone elses bike ride unless there was some specific event/happening that made it interesting or some unbelievable scenery. if its just some guy riding down the road or through a city, going to the hipster coffee shop, who cares.

The trouble with it would be bandwidth. Live video stream over cell networks is marginally possible now but far from solid.

Me, too. I was all set to give my "My mountain bike has been completely submerged" speech.

+1 I expected a discussion about how much immersion hubs could get before being needed to be repacked!

When you said biking and streams I thought you meant something like these.

By the way, in the second one the water had risen over a foot overnight. As soon as the organizers realized what that crossing had become they went out and did an emergency reroute around it.

You know, I've never clicked on any of the links to "ride" videos posted here. Unless they have been edited and a doco made out of them with some sort of interest and good commentary, I just don't see the point.
