Anyone know the story on what happened to these guys? By looking at their model archive it seems they used to offer some really nice bikes. Models such as the Kingfield and Bryant are looking very interesting to me in particular, but are no longer available. Now it seems they just offer city bikes on par with everyone else in that market.

Most likely those models were discontinued due to lack of sales. Or it could be that their corporate parent decided that the brand needed to focus on a particular niche market.

When they first came out, they only had one model, the Hyland. I had one;nice bike, but didn't fit me right and the 8spd hub wasn't working for my commute. The prob was, they were pretty pricey, and not many places carried them. Then they wound up discounting the price way down, and had a recall on the fork, and between the two I think most shops that carried them got gunshy and dropped them. The current models seem decent, but you just don't see them anywhere, even though any shop with a QBP account can sell them. I think they were just tainted by some issues coming out of the gate. If I ever come across a Bryant for a decent price,I might spring for it.
