Tear jerker
Read a nice piece in the throw away yesterday. Please, cant we do something about all the bicycles? They are on the sidewalks and i cant get out of my driveway. They run me off the road and give me the middle finger. When i try to talk to them the say nasty things and even spit on me. They is nothing good about them and for all the money we spend for them they should be outlawed. The way they dress is nasty and not a good thing for young children to be around. Please help me start a drive to do something.
Nice and i bet most are on her side.

Yeah, we get these editorials from time to time. We need to remember most car drivers aren't bad, or we're no better than the writer of the piece you presented.
At the same time, we as cyclists need to remember that by being courteous and obeying the traffic laws we keep the number of motorists ticked off at cyclists to a minimum.

So... someone wrote in to an editorial in a free paper, complaining that they can't handle their car around bicycles? Perhaps there's a reason she's being flipped off?
And how exactly does a bicycle run a car off the road?
Total nonsense.

So.....
There are so many bicycles around them that they can't pull out of their driveway?
It's funny, the mental image I get when thinking about that comment.
What in the name of all that which is good and sweet in Odens beard is he/she driving if a bicycle can run him/her off the road?
Although I can somewhat sympathize with this peron on the dress than some bikers adorn, some of them look as though they found a new place to cary a slim-jim and two cherrys, but for crying out loud, they live in SoCal!! Ever take a walk to the beach? geesh!
Maybe their energy should be directed towards something more productive, like putting an application process in place for people who want to wear spandex. Ever see a 250lb woman wearing that stuff?
/me shudders
