I was wondering if anyone would use an computer with SPOT technology on it

https://msndirect.com/channel/weather.htm

The weather channel can be really useful, as well as appointments synchronisation with Outlook

I suppose some people might find it useful but I personally wouldn't. If I'm checking weather or the like, I'm not going to be doing it while moving. And since I carry a mobile phone with me anyways, I can always use that to grab Internet-published weather reports via GPRS. At the very least, if I know generally where I am, I can always call up AFSS and receive a weather briefing.

If I'm on the bike, and I need to know what the weather is like, I just look around.
