8/24 - 46.5 miles. 15 mph avg. beautiful weather for riding.
Rode up to wife's work to surprise her for lunch.

ken cummings 08-24-08 06:32 PM

30 miles in the foothills around Petaluma and 11 miles back home. Consumed the contents of 3 water bottles and a thick Turkey loaf sandwich. Dropped 4 pounds.

up and out the door at sunrise and boy it was a bit chilly. i love riding this early in the morning. i was thinking about a century, but around mile 40ish i just didnt get that warm fuzzy feeling from the legs. still a century, just of the metric variety. i had maybe 10 minutes of off the bike time as i tried to power through the miles.

later.

quitter....

:D;)

8/24 - was able to get in an hour of riding after getting back from the downtown birthday extravaganza. Legs felt awesome. Getting a little better each day now (coming out of my viral funk). Beautiful day - 20 miles of fredtastic muppets. Hill repeats, etc.

Scummer 08-24-08 08:41 PM

Couple of miles here and there pulling my daughter around and having my son follow me on his bike. Somewhere in the 9mph avg range for a couple of miles.
Other than that.. pool cleaning duty and hanging around the pool prevented some more serious riding today :D

what a beautiful day to ride. Met mridan from here (bikeforums.net)... and he tagged along with us for a while. Dan it was nice to meet you and ride with you for a while:thumb:

Going to rest up some this week with a little running and prepare for this weekend's Wright Stuff Century... but that has lots of hills... I don't anticipate the same average as yesterday :roflmao2:

 That's all I ever wanted to do this summer! I love Cedar Point, but haven't been there in the summer in like 3 years! Take me next time!!

oh yea

8/25-51 miles with a whole slew of things- hills, sprints, wind, almost wiping out some idiots on a tandem at the bottom of the hill by the marina, the low 70s temp felt pretty good:)

Top Thrill Dragster rocks. The whole world shimmers and blurs. There is a split second respite at the top. Then the whole world shimmers and blurs down into the outrun.

Still, Millenium Force is where it's at. 300' drop on smooth as silk rails. Easily my favorite coaster.

I ran 4 miles today. Trying to acheive a balance. I jsut like riding my bike much better.

But the Magnum is just as good because of the 10 minute lines!

I love the Maverick. Not a second of downtime right out of the gate. Just in your face speed!!

Scummer 08-25-08 05:10 PM

Wow... what a commute home. Cruising at 22-23mph without much effort. Sometimes even hitting 26mph when I started to push. Tailwind from the North was absolutely amazing.
28.5 miles at 18.5mph avg. Fastest commute ever.

Jose Perez 08-25-08 05:17 PM

19 more miles of commuting fun. Been riding the bike to work so much this year its got me thinking about getting a lefit commuter bike. something odd about commuting to work on a Cervelo

RubenX 08-25-08 05:28 PM

8/25 Wonderful ride today.... 43.8 Miles on Central Florida, from Longwood to Oviedo to Orlando and back. A little rain at mid-ride but this is Florida... if it doesn't rain, the ride was not long enough.

naujcdl 08-25-08 07:41 PM

8/25 - 33.32 miles, very nice late afternoon breeze and a good speed, could be better.

aham23 08-26-08 12:35 PM

8/26 = 31 miles this morning before heading into work.

nice and easy effort. i have some issues with this weather though. WTF? comes to mind. its August and i am wondering where the heat and dead calm is? Spring was cold and wet. now, we have August mornings with 50 degree temps and 10 mph winds out of the east. i want some freaking summer weather, not fall, in August. i am sure i am in the minority here.

later.

garysol1 08-26-08 12:40 PM

8/26.........WINDY AGAIN....OR STILL!!! 20 mph wind out of the East and a little stronger off of the Lake.
27.36 miles in 1:32 for a average of 17.7. UGH!!

voldemort 08-26-08 02:42 PM

8/24 About 46 miles. "About" because frayed computer wires resulted in such numbers during my ride as: cadence of 240, average speed of 96.2, trip mileage of 1826, and peak speed of 177.9. I'm assuming some of those numbers are off a little bit. But, you just never know.

So I'm scrolling UP from the bottom of this page, and hit this reference and think "when the hell did CyLowe get one of those bikes for riding old RR tracks...and how could you have a 300' foot?".

I DID eventually scroll up far enough to figure it out. (too many dead brain cells)

Why you sandbagger! You've been training!

patester242002 08-26-08 04:09 PM

25.8 miles today. Rode to Lockport. Checked out traffic on I-355.

Jose Perez 08-26-08 06:27 PM

Rode the bike 9 miles home from work and left my car there so I have way to get home tomorrow after I run there in the morning. Marathon training...it's fantastic!! :thumb:

dannwilliams 08-26-08 06:37 PM

25.37 at 17.1 clip. Fantastic weather this week!

black_box 08-26-08 07:18 PM

15.49 @ 15.5 avg. a little further, a little faster, and I still feel good afterwards :)
