1.5 hrs of cross riding in Regan Park. Did 4 X 9 min intervals circling the cross course. Had a flat at the end of one interval and pushed to finish only to dump and loose a bunch of skin on my elbow when the tire rolled on a turn in the parking lot. Sleeping is going to be an adventure tonight.

2.5 hours on the cross bike. 1 hour this morning out at French Creek just riding the trails then 1.5 hours of hard cross practice at Edgewater Park with the Spin crew.

9/10 Akron Bike Club thurs fast ride, 25 mile warm-up, 33 miles on the ride, 22+ ave. All the usual cast of characters attempeing to kill each other on climb, after climb after climb,.... WE have a new ride organizer and he sent us on a really neat and different route tonite!

BTW any of you NE ohio riders who frequent the valley, the rumors are true about the peninsula cops being out to get cyclist. The nailed a club tonite for impeding traffic, happened right in front of us, lucky it was them and not our group.

What's the "pucker factor" on that portion of the trail?

09/12, 60 miles
Avg for the 1st half was 17mph, watched it slowly slip away
on the 2nd half. The last 15 was brutal. I stopped at one
point to make sure I didn't have a brake dragging, no such
luck, I just suck. Ended up at 16.2 avg, still good for me.

Off to the races now. The Last Stand at the stadium,
UMRA Midgets. http://www.umara.com/

Cheers

Did the 1st Annual Bike for Sight in Whitehouse Ohio. 27 mile route, and I rode there and back totaling up to 34.5 miles

garysol1 09-12-09 02:13 PM

36 mile loop out through SHefield, Lorain, Elyria and North Ridgeville. The wind factor was high today but no complaints. I love fall

leinad 09-12-09 04:25 PM

nocondorfx 09-13-09 02:29 PM

26 mile commute today

leinad 09-13-09 02:47 PM

9/13 14 miles, rode with my brothers family, wife and son, with my wife and son. It was my bro's wife first ride, and we did the inland trail. She did real well for a first time and I can tell ya she is really proud of her new bike! It's a trek allante and must say it is an attractive looking bike.

CrimsonKarter21 09-13-09 06:52 PM

70 miles. Very bad ride for me. I all of a sudden got the "I don't want to be on this bike anymore" urge 45 miles from home. I turned around halfway up a hill, and slogged back home.

I know that feeling well.......

1+ hr cross racing. In the B Race my front brake would not release forcing me to stop twice to fix it. The organizers allowed me to enter the A Race. Anyone visiting Wendy Park might find pieces of my lungs out on the lawns. It was still fun, even though the "fun" lasted 15 minutes longer than it was supposed to.

Thanks much! I needed every bit of encouragement I could get. It must have been obvious which rider I was.:D
