38 miles on the cross bike....Mix of trail and road. Avon into French Creek for some single track, Black river MUP trail into Elyria and Cascade Park for a bit more single track. Stopped off at the Apple festival in Elyria then back North to Avon......

09/19, 50 miles
Made the trek home from work today. Hopefully I'll
make ride the back in to pick up my truck tomorrow,
rain is in the forecast though.
Perfect weather, felt really good to get out and ride.
Unfortunately I'm already on trainer on week nights,
there's just not enough daylight after work to ride now.
Sweet ride Mr.Schwinn F'in Armstrong!
Cheers.

9/18 - 30 miles
Romeoville area. First real ride in 8 days since having a little flu bug. Still getting over this cold a little. Took Essington north to where road curves before Renwick (road used to go to Renwick till 5 years back when officials decided to get rid of the bad intersection). Then had to walk up the hill and carry the bike to get it over the railing along Renwick and then continued north on the Frontage to the nearby neighborhood. I usually cross Weber Rd. at either Airport Rd. or 1 mile up at Taylor Rd. Hopefully Romeoville officials will eventually install the long awaited path from Renwick Rd. into town.
9/19 - 5 miles
Short evening jaunt to local 7-Eleven (on Caton Farm & Essington) after dinner. Worked today.
Next two days, will be busy, no riding. Will ride again Tuesday (weather permitting) but we've had 3 really nice weeks in a row and we could use some rain now.

4/20 39 miles today, little testy south wind for good measure. Passed the 8000 mile mark for the year today.

51 miles with the Lorain Wheelmen Oberlin to Valley City. Beautiful day, a bit chippy in the AM, but warmed up nicely. Brought the Juniors with me and they sprinted signs every now and again. I even felt compelled to chase a few times. Nice ride, nice folks.

Raced the Reagan Park TT and got smoked by Mr. Nocondorfx
I started to go home, but realized that "hey, I really don't want to go home and work on the basement" so I headed South to Vulture's Knob and thoroughly kicked my own ass. They changed the course around and it's a little more techy in some spots.

45.5 miles out to Oberlin and back with another guy. Cloudy and humid but the temps were pleasant and the wind not so bad...

9/22 one hour EZ (17 miles). Doing the final prep rides before georgia. If you have been watching the news things in Georgia are a little wet, here's hoping for some dry weather by this weekend. What a bummer if this wrecks the ride!!

Only got ten miles in today. First day on new (to me) bike. Back hurt, legs were gassed, some little dude on a madone smoked me. Tomorrow will be better I'm sure and at least I got to ride some. One big plus was that the new roadbike felt like a ferrari compared to the 30 yr old tourer.

About 1/2 of the cross practice at Regan Park then a broken spoke shut me down. That means intervals in the rain tonight.
