11/11 17 mile loop with a few hills. Sluggish ride due to bacon overload...weather was great though!

Well I have today(11/12) off and wouldn't you know it the forcast was for rain. Well I couldn't just sit around so I suited up and head for Kipton (small town 15 mi away) taking the long circuitious route. So guess when it started to rain? That's right, when I got to Kipton 20 miles into the ride, well that means 20 miles in the rain and it was a nice heavy one too. So 40 miles later I'm home having some hot soup and cleaning my bike and drying out my stuff. OH and BTW the sun is shining as I type this, oh well!

I was able to get in 20 miles today. I just rode the rural roads of the neighborhood.

Spent the morning working in the yard and around the house. By noon the sun was comming out and I jumped in the car and drove out to the Glacial Drumlin trail in Waukesha. 30 miles round trip out past Dousman and back. Hooked up with a couple speed demons along the way. The first guy wasn't too keen on having a fat old man, riding down tube shifters, who has a camera hanging around his neck, ride his wheel so he didn't hang around long. I took a pull and when I eased up - he was gone! Don't worry, dude, I won't knock you over. (I accidently erased his pic - sorry!)

This guy didn't seem to mind.

He was smart - he just kept the pace up around 23 to 25 mph (tail wind) and let the lactate take care of me. I was able to hang on for a while though.

It was a good ride.

(time for a nap - still gotta work tonight)

Actually got out for a ride today. It's been a while for me.

21 miles. Rode into the slight headwind on the first half and sailed home. Lots of sun and warm temps for mid-November.

I'm only about 1/4 of dave342's yearly total, though, as I just passed 2,300 miles. Do you think I can catch him?

In honor of my brand new Trice Q and some decent weather here I sacrificed my lunch "hour" for a 35 mile ride along the river. Life is good!

I started out quite motivated, but was feeling pretty crispy after that hammerfest yesterday. (My fastest ride since May 10th).

Rode from Muskego almost to Big Bend ... ~14 miles round trip.

Pretty flat, into the wind, but when I got to the top of this little climb, I knew I was done.

Plenty of nice roads around here.

So, I'll see 'ya again next time girls.

Off tomorrow, get the snow tires on the Subaru, change the oil before it gets cold.

(meanwhile ... "HIP" is driving around in his NEW yellow Mercedes!! )

11/13 27 miles along the lake, and picked up a hot dog at Skyway Dogs for an after ride snack...maybe not the best for post ride nutrition, but man they're good, and they do fill up my water bottle for nothing This is starting to become a habit.

Hey, we stopped and chatted with you guys at the corner of Middleton/Thomas around 9 am. We ended up with 51 miles/3:00 up to New Lebanon, stopped in Hampshire for a bite. Pretty chilly today and we got some rain near the end.
