Anybody catch the wind today?!
Gusting to 40....
Recovery ride for me today....short and could have been sweeter.
Holy Crap...that was some wind.
Mostly swirling cross.
I caught one little section of tailwind....just riding along....looked down....31.5 mph, with my HRM beeping to tell me I wasn't even at my low threshold of 130 bpm.
This must be what it feels like to be a pro in the peloton all the time.

I went out this morning for a short ride. Out was fun, really fun. Back? Less so. Felt like Lance Armstrong going out. Felt like Stretch Armstrong coming back. Very, very different feeling. And this was before the winds really picked up.

Went out and rode for 27 miles this morning. The wind is certainly confused blowing from every direction. Was doing 20+ MPH and when that wind gust, I glanced at my speedomemter and saw it dropped to 10 MPH from 20 in an instant. Is that braking with the wind? It was a good morning despite the windy conditions.

I chickened out on the commute today because of the forecase. I have been off the bike since Sunday's century (out of town since then) and just am not feeling it. To come back on a day with this wind would be depressing....especially for 50 miles worth.
Looks like tomorrow might be out as well....

I rode straight into it this morning and it added about 6 minutes onto my normal time in!
I'm hoping to beat the storm tonight and sail home. And if it does rain, I guess it would be kind of nice in this hot weather.

Yesterday's wind is still here although not as bad as yesterday with gust over 50+ MPH. Went out this morning despite strong winds and some debris on the roads and trails. Tomorrow could be better.
