A bear was walking across Rainbow Bridge (Old Hwy 40 at Donner Summit, Truckee, NV) on Saturday when two cars also crossing the bridge scared the bear into jumping over the edge of the bridge ... STORY with photos..

Saw a fox on my ride today. Dialed it up to 500W and he ran off. Scaredy cat.

Here's some great lakes foo: Anyone in Columbus Ohio looking for a cat/cats? Im about to become a new englander for the next two years, and we couldnt get an apartment that took pets. I have 3 AWESOME cats that its killing me not to take with me. We craigslisted them, but im dying to know they are in a good safe loving home. A "no kill" shelter is our last option, as Im not turning them over to a shelter that kills. Id rather let them go free than do that!

What if we don't have a Craigslist account? It's asking for Login. Got a different link?

Great ride - keep those videos coming!

Looks like the infamous "three bridges' trail through Franklin. Where do you go once you hit the Sports Complex? I sometimes will go down to 7 Mile Rd then take that out to Wind Lake.

The video stuff is cool. I've been watching the last lap of Sussex a lot to see where I went wrong, and I've learned more than I thought I would.

Those are some nice empty paths you've got there.

Lately, I've just been doing laps in the industrial park, but sometimes I'll go west on Oakwood, then zig-zag over to 108th st and go south.

Watch out in Racine County though, it is infested with drunk drivers. You can see the ghost bike of Nancy Sellars on about 74th and 5 mile road, and I almost had one in my honor on E. Main near Waterford. :notamused: I was very lucky.

I think I went wrong when I did the late attack that was immediately covered on the last lap. Or when the guy from brone's went two laps out, told me to grab his wheel, and I was too gassed to get it. Or when I neglected to put myself in a good position for the sprint. I have a lot to work on. :twitchy:

That particular course went along a beach by a little lake. The conventional line was in the beach. The fast line was in the lake. The water was really cold.

There's a good chance that I'll be taking a few days later in August to look for this:

Photo shows significant snow on the ground - April 19! No worries for you - but bring a baseball bat for the bugs. :p

After a day of intense internet research, I believe I've figured near-exact GPS coordinates of the wreck. Now, hopefully, I'll get a GPS signal under the trees...

Leaving Sunday night after Downers.
