Rollers 1 "Fred" 0
I went down today for the first time in two years, I guess I was over confident.
This is how it happened I was doing no handed, one legged 10 minute intervals with a sustained power output of just over 1000 Watts when the bearings in the back roller seized and launched my bike forward through the wall.
Well that is what I would like to tell you.
However this is what really happened. I had just warmed up and I had stopped to turn on the fan. I was clipped in on the right side and my left foot was on the side of the rollers frame. I was adjusting the volume on my tunes (no hands on the bars) when my front wheel turned to the left and when it hit 90 degrees it dropped down and my bike and me went over to the right side where I was clipped in. I sprained my wrist pretty bad but the bike was OK. This was the first time I have crashed on rollers when I was not even moving.
Note to self......Next time do all adjustments before setting the bike on the rollers.

Bikes: confidential infromation that I don't even share with my wife
Good thing you bike is OK. Bodies heal, bikes need replacement parts.
I'm still working on the learning curve while on the rollers. I'm up to 1 hr per session, except I still need to stop somewhere around 30 to 40 minutes to drink water. The last time I thought I was relaxed enough to drink while riding I crashed. I now have the rollers set up next to the pool table to give me a platform to start out on, and hold my water bottle and towel, since I don't need a doorway anymore.
Just to make me feel worse, my son gets on the rollers, on my bike that is too small for him, rides one legged and rides standing up, just to show me and everyone in the family room how easy it is.

You sound like my wife.
She will occasionally pop down to the dungeon while I am on the rollers and she tells me that it looks dangerous and I should wear my helmet. No I did not tell her about the fall today.
I am still laughing at my self, a crash and I was just standing on the rollers not even moving. I live in Northern Michigan and spend many hours on those things and am very confident on them, at least once I get moving.
I guess I should stick to frozen lakes their much safer.

I watched that Pugsley on Rollers thing and I swear I hoped that he was going to crash off them.
