Duuude. I read your blog. That blows! However, it's good to hear that it was not much worse.

I haven't been hit on my bike by a moving vehicle (although the reverse has happened a couple times). Of course, me mentioning it now means I'm doomed the next time I'm out on the road.

Blackhawk Farms is my first race.

I've been working on my own trainer and have signed up for the Winter II CompuTrainer course at Village CycleSport. My biggest concern is not riding outside in a group. During my first ride outside (couple weeks ago) I was not as steady as I normally am. Too much time locked into a trainer. I need road time and time in a group.

I like the Blackhawk course for the first race since it does not have the sharp turns. Everyone is still getting used to riding outside and in a group. ARRRRRGGGG...the weather. Cold is one thing but snow, ice is another.

Two words: Rollers.

You'll still feel a little weird once you hit the road, but it won't be nearly as bad as if your only indoor riding has been on the trainer.

IIRC Mid-Ohio hasn't been re-paved in 2-3 years, and isn't hosting any big-money events anymore. There may be some blems.

Ok, I give up. Either you're going to post the second of the "two words" or we all start pronouncing Rollers like my cousins in Ark. and call them by two words...Roll-lers.
