Awesome. We're hauling Riccio and Cory as well and they're in the same boat with the 5's so we'll probably see you up there early.

Yeah. I like to keep it tight, for the aerodynamics.

Frunkin 04-17-09 09:15 AM

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little worried about the RR. 80 miles sounds ridiculous. Ugh. I shouldn't have trained so much this winter.

Psimet2001 04-17-09 09:15 AM

Talking to Ara about finding one for you....

It does sound rediculous. I would have a problem with fuel and fluids.

I wouldn't sweat the small stuff. It's not like i'll be on the podium. But if you did find a medium i sure wouldn't complain.

We like to represent....as long as you aren't the guy OTB in 1/2 a lap.....;)

Ara said he'll be at the shop after 2. I plan on stopping by to take care of some stuff so I will look into it.

I'm guessing the Capitol race is on the inner loop, since the flyer says it is flat. Like Wiswell and Severian said, the vertical seams in the concrete are the issue.

Hey, I live close to both races - the Reserach Park one is right next to my neighborhood. Which one would be better to bring my kids to, to watch?

Are people meeting up afterwards for food or drinks?

Research park is better to watch because I'll be in it. But seriously, I don't know much about the capitol race. It probably has the more interesting surroundings, being that research park is kind of boring on its own. But if you're coming to watch the race, I'm guessing they'll be about the same.

I'm down for the food.

Re: Capitol spectating - stay away from the bus shelters ... they are like magnets to flying bicycles. This I know first hand.

Psimet2001 04-17-09 07:24 PM

I am heading out at 7:30 with 4 racers and a wife and child. We might be down for some food afterwards....might. Depends....a lot of schedules involved.

slim_77 04-17-09 08:49 PM

gawd, I wanna race this weekend. Good luck and have fun for me!

Psimet2001 04-18-09 05:49 PM

Great racing! Had a blast. We brought 3 other teammates with me and 2 more came up as well making a 6 man crew - one of the largest turnouts we've had this year so far.

I got 26th in the cat 4 (finishing on the back of the main pack - sheesh big fields)
and 16th in the masters 4/5 (just didn't have the sprint)

Got to finally race with Dave342. Called him out and marked him for everyone when he took a flyer...I was actually just trying to get my 2 other teammates to go with him. Sorry man! :(

Grat day. If the rain holds off tomorrow I want to race again!

First race of the season. Raced with Psimet2001* (nice job with 16th by the way). I placed I think around middle of the pack or so.Took a flyer didn't work so I sat in. Fun day, clean race no crashes.
