Red Flannel

Red Flannel

Who here is planning on riding the Lorain Wheelman's Red Flannel next Sunday. I took off of work for this one. It is one of my favorite rides of the year not to mention the last ride on the Ohio ride schedule for the season. Leinad will be there at the first rest stop with his most famous Pancakes.
So......who is going?

I won't be riding this, but I'll be working at the Wakeman stop.
The lunch stop on this ride is the best, all homemade soups and such. May I also recommend the chicken noodle soup at the lunch stop, made by yours truly?
Be sure to say "hi" if you stop by!

I rode this last year for the first time and had a blast. I've had it on my calendar all summer and am planning to be there with my Dad. And momof4greatkids, I'm definitely looking forward to the soup at Wakeman!

I'm finally riding regularly again, but my knee is still pretty darned weak, so I'm not sure if I will make it or not.
Did everyone get the letter about parking? Someone might want to post the contents here, since it doesn't seem to be mentioned on the web site.

I've been a little under the weather the past couple of days (stomach bug) but I'm feeling much better and I do have the day off (I know, amazing), so I'm planning to be there. The weather forecast looks good. A little cool in the morning but sunny so it will probably warm up quickly. I haven't been on an organized ride except for SAG support yet this year so I'm Looking forward to it. Hope to see you all there.

I'm on the fence. I may do both cross races this weekend. If not, then I'll be at the Red Flannel. I'd like to ride old school on my restored 73' Raleigh Super Course, the ride would be a great to place to take it to.

Don't forget we set clocks back at 2:00am Sunday morning. I am ASSUMING the ride staff has taken that into consideration.....

By the way, the letter about parking had to do with the fact that there will be designated parking area for Red Flannel riders in the grocery store parking lot across the street from the registration. There will be police on duty directing you where to park and they said violators will be towed. I guess I'll try to get there early to get a good spot. The ride starts at nine.

I'm pretty sure Don and Todd that I work with are going. I'm not.

The ride was great. Dan, thanks for the special pancakes, they were tasty. Colleen, your chicken soup hit the stop right on. Special thanks to Gary for pulling my aching carcass the 2nd half of the ride even after I told you to "go on".
