Because of the poor turnout, and associated large loss, they want to move the date back closer to the traditional date. This depends on the town council agreeing to a suitable weekend - of which there are few. I don't know anything more.

Speaking of crits, I hear that the TOAD people are looking at Hoffman Estates and Winfield. I can't remember the 3rd venue off hand.

Yeah. The date I saw floating around would conflict with the first weekend of Superweek... not that I think that would be a problem. Looks like somebody else might be putting on a non-SW race that weekend, too.

Yeah, I dunno. Doubt if any Chicagoans are going to bother travelling anyway. But conflicting with another race within 3 hours is a bad idea. Lower entry fees and generous purses don't work around here - this I know.
