A Gem in Southwest Wisconsin
Found a great touring spot insouthwest Wisconsin, part of the Midwest’s driftless region. The rolling hillsrange from gentle to challenging, and there’s also the 45-mile Military RidgeTrail between Fitchburg and Dodgeville. Oneof the unique lodging establishments in the area is Wisconsin’s oldest inn, theWalker House in Mineral Point (www.thewalkerhouse.org). The owners supply a hearty complimentarybreakfast and space and tools for bike repairs. They’ll give you a room discount if you tell them you’re touring.

Yes, southwest Wisconsin is a cycling surprise for many people. Here's a link to the Military Ridge and other state trails: https://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/findapark.html; and here's a link to a variety of maps and other resources from the WIDOT: https://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/travel/...t/bikemaps.htm. Enjoy your time in Wisconsin but be aware, we are very loyal Badger, Packer and Brewer fans!
