What does this mean for the individual events?
- Arcadia’s Brute (operated by Spree Touring) will not be held in 2014.

- Kickapoo Kicker (a partnership between Spree Touring and Dairyland Dare LLC) will not be held in 2014.

- The 9th annual Dairyland Dare WILL RUN on 8/9/2014 as scheduled. Registration will open on 2/1/2014 for this event.

This blows. I seem to remember reading the reason (on BF?)...some b.s. with the local gubmint...road safety for this volume of riders, blah, blah, etc. It's too bad. That really is a scenic part of WI. I've done the Horribly Hilly Hundreds a few times and the DD once. Perhaps one of the neighboring counties will step up and welcome the riders and their money.

A Michigan friend of mine just inquired about this. He was determined to tackle the Triple this season. There's always the MMM...Hey!--just discovered they've made the MMM a series instead of just one ride. Cool!

I think what I read from Spree Touring, is he wished to spend more time focusing on family and health. These events required a huge amount of time and energy to organize and run. I don't know if that means he or a family member are experiencing any health related issues, but I totally understand. And with the ordeal with Iowa County this past year... maybe the writing was on the wall. I still plan on doing the Dare.

This is disappointing, was hoping to try this Series this year. A thank you to those who ran it in the past, much be a lot of work.

What are some other good Wisconsin rides, preferably Century length besides the Trek 100?

Thanks for any info.

You do realize the two cancelled events, Arcadia’s Brute and Kickapoo Kicker are NOT held in Iowa county whereas the Dairyland Dare is in Iowa county and is still being held.

Your outrage is greatly misplaced.
