Spring is here. Michigan is thawed now Im just waiting for 60 degree weather which should be here soon. I have not ridden since the end of October 2014 and needless to say I am getting antsy to ride again. Just thinking about hitting the rail trails on those sunny days gets me motivated. I went through all my bike parts and supplies and wanted to take a minute to at least let the new people to the hobby to invest in a quality tire pump. When I started out I was budget conscious and bought the cheaper $10 Walmart tire pumps. Those things ended up breaking before the year was over. I tried the floor pumps and the foot pumps. The foot pumps were the worst for me. Those things broke after 3 months of use. I finally ended up paying $50 for a reputable high end floor hand pump and could not have made a better investment. I only use it once a week to top off my tires but it has lasted me 7 years so far and still in perfect working order, capable of inflating tires to 110 psi with no problem.
