another kind of hybrid

i crossed into the 70's this year, so what happens if swinging a leg over a diamond frame becomes a problem? this is my work in progress, the brakes allowed me to use a 700c a wheelset instead of the 27's that came with the bike. the wheelset was left over from another upgrade, it also went from a 6 speed freewheel to 7 speed freehub. i have a triple crankset, alloy bars on the way and swapped the stem shifters for thumb friction shifters. i have been doing some 15 miles rides on it, but i am not to sure of staying with the kenda west 35 tires, being a fan of 28's, the kenda's seem like more work.

That's a stylish bike! The seat doesn't look so great, but I find the parallel lines of the seat tube and head tube visually appealing. And the color isn't bad either.

the seat is fuji oem 1984, i might get around to swapping it out after i finish with the upgrades. i agree it looks a little odd but if you follow "form follows function" it works ok but it is on the heavy side.
