Got a used Sirrus
I posted a couple of weeks ago about buying my first bike after about 20 years, and bought a used Specialized Sirrus Sport (2012 I think) yesterday! Bought it from a bike shop about 25 miles away, after only dealing with flakes on Craigslist and not liking the attitude at my local shop after 2 visits.
Went for a 15-mile ride (mostly leisurely) today with friends and couldn’t be happier with the Sirrus. I need more practice to get efficient with the gears, but I’m sure that will come with time. I can say that I am not as fearless as in my youth, since some of the down hills were a bit scary. That fear is probably a good thing to keep me check!
Any Iphone app or simple computer recommendations to track my rides? I would only be interested in tracking speed, distance, and time at this point.
Thanks for all of the great info on this forum!

Strava is definitely the way to go. You can "grow" into it as you get more "serious" and there's also third party sites that integrate with it nicely when you get really "serious".

Personally I'd start with Strava as you CAN export your data for use in another program. If you like Strava... good, if you don't you can easily transition to another app.
