that's interesting. someone was showing me a Marin Muirwoods recently but don't think it's the same sort of bike & just saw a Marin Team CXR 29er Mountain Bike which sounds pretty darn fun

There is a number of good options. The Raleigh Redux and Giant ARX sort of fit the same concept.
