Cannondale Quick3

Sold a 2012 Giant Roam XR this Winter for a 2018 Cannondale Quick3. Haven't had a chance to ride yet. Any Quick3 owners have feedback on the bike? Did you do anything to speed it up? Narrow bars, etc?

Bikes: Had an old Columbia in the 80's, here a used Schwinn hybrid, now a Cannondale Quick 3 and a Topstone 105..

I swapped out the flat bars because of my old back to make it more comfortable for me. I have changed the rear cogs to a 36/11 and replaced the tires with 37's. It is very comfortable for me and with the 50/11 gear ratio still intact it will still hit the speed as long as I can do it. I am not as interested in top speed at 72 years old, but more about making the bike comfortable for me as I am using the bike to build up to 100-mile rides. I have also added the vertical grips I had on my flat bars shown in the second photo to give me more hand placements. I have found the bike to be very durable and flexible as far as setup is concerned. Raised the stem and changed the seat. I have a Topstone also and while I like it I find myself riding the Quick about as much. Mine is a 2019-3 so probably close to your specs. Not going to find much help here as Cannondale Quicks are not very popular here but I have found it to be a very good bike. Tried others but this frame has all the potential for me to be what ever I need as I age. Hope this is helpful. Be safe and ride.

Bikes: More bikes than riders

Those look like the WTB Riddlers. How do they ride? Pretty smooth on pavement? Much tread "buzz" on smooth surfaces, or are they pretty quiet? They look nice!

Bikes: 2018 Specialized Roll Elite

My buddy I normally ride with has a Quick and the main thing he did was to raise the handlebars some so he could sit a little more upright but other wise he's completely happy with it.

They are Riddlers. I first rode them on my topstone and I liked them enough to try them on the Quick. The 3 had 28's on it when I got it and thought the Quick would benefit from them but I will be going to a 34 or less next. They are not the same on the 3 as they are on the topstone. I run them at 40 psi and do not get road noise and I think they are decent on the pavement. That said I liked the stock tires that came on the 3 and found the Riddlers wore out sooner than I would have liked so I will be looking for a higher mileage tire next. I also raised the bar with the stem and it worked out good for me.
Be safe, Frank.
