I've had a Maya trailer affixed to my old Trek 7.2 for a long time to use for grocery runs, etc. and a Trek FX 4 for rides. It finally happened and git hit by a car with the old bike and it and the trailer are toast. I came out alright as the trailer took some of the force and ended up over the handlebars as opposed to back on the car.

At any rate, the Maya tailer was great but the only complaint was that it was a pain to hook up to the bike. Is there a model that is a cinch to hook up in case I decide not to replace the 7.2 and go with one bike? (The Maya had wing nuts and coulde be aggrevating getting it on/off)

I pull a Thule Chariot (converted to cargo use) and it connects with a simple ball-and-socket joint. I find it super easy to do. The socket is a steel piece that sandwiches between the skewer and the frame dropout. Once you cinch the skewer down with this socket installed, it basically becomes part of the bike. And then the trailer has a replaceable plastic ball that protrudes from the front of the metal arm which fits into the socket. It's retained with a hitch pin that slides into the front of the socket, trapping the ball in. This is the best picture I have of the system -- I hope you can make out how it's attached.

Thank you for the reply and looks super easy. Sorry I didn't include but I am looking for a single wheel trailer. I do most/all of my riding on pretty busy roads, many of which don't have bike lanes.

Ah -- yep -- this'n would be pretty wide for that type of duty. I'm afraid I don't have a lot of experience with Bob type trailers...

...though, having said that, Bob's website does claim an easy attachment with some sort of quick releasing gear they have.
