Got out in between rain showers, been about 2.00 " around here, seen a break in the action and went for 5 miles or so. This is the oldest of my bikes, gets ridden the most because of the comfort level.

Rode along the euphemistically named 'Federation Trail' from Werribee in Melbourne's west into the city. It follows an old sewer line and probably should be called as such. Did about 40kms all up, maybe a bit more as I got a little lost along the way.

Took a little 4.5 mile ride on a recently repaved/rerouted local road this is a short section where the roads vehicle traffic was rerouted and this section was left unpaved. Took it slow and easy, and enjoyed the cool NW Florida morning.

Just rode around town with my daughter. She had the hybrid and I rode the $10 Trek 820 I picked up on FB Marketplace. It's going to be set up as my around town runner but my daughter is already trying to ride it.

Woonasquatucket River Greenway, RI. A near by bikepath / onroad mix that I've never ridden until today.

Rode along the Darebin Creek Trail today, which traverses Melbourne's northern suburbs. I rode it in a south-north direction and caught the train home. Did about 30kms (18 mi) all up, maybe a bit more.

Also saw some wildlife

A couple of weeks ago I spent 7 days on a self supported bikepacking trip on my 2013 Giant Seek 1 in Missouri, riding the Katy Trail from Clinton to Machens MO. Really nice, well maintained trail. I got lucky and had perfect weather for the entire trip save a very light 2 hour rain shower in the evening of the second day. The trail is 237.7 miles, I rode a total of 270 miles. I camped every night except the first and last day. Drove up to St. Charles on Monday, caught a shuttle to Clinton on Tuesday to start the ride back.

Excellent resource and planning site: Katy Trail Info

Daily picture galleries and a few videos here: Katy Trail Trip Oct 16 -23

The start of the trip

270 miles and 7 days later at the Eastern end in Machens

Took the Giant Roam out to the 'Ironbarks'; an under-utilised area of bushland on the outskirts of the township of Stawell in Victoria's west. Despite the recent rain, the ground was rock-hard, with plenty of single-track and gravel roads to follow.

Unfortunately, I did come across an injured Wallaby, but I did call Wildlife Victoria and hopefully he gets the attention he needs.

Le Tour De Ham Saturday Stroll today on my Giant Seek 1. Wet, cold and drizzly for most of the ride, but overall a good day out on the bike.
