Thanks for the input with the models. I'll have to look into some of those, epending on how they meet the common use definition of a Hybrid bike. Nice to see that Panasonic made some! I think something like the South Street is a mountain bike though.

Thanks for starting the thread, a bunch in there I had no idea about.

As for the South Street, in the '93 catalog, they actually had two versions, the South Street I and II, the former being a 26er and the "II" having 700c wheels. Both are listed as "cross sport" bikes, but the II definitely fits the bill a little better. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a full on mountain bike for a different year though.
