Integrated bar ends question
Have a Specialized Sirrus that I got during covid to ride around the neighborhood. Usually a road rider. I recently decided to take it to the local rails-to-trails path for a change of pace and really liked it. Only issue was at around 20 miles my fingers/hands were totally numb. I change hand positions a lot on my road bike, but had nothing to change to. So I'm looking for a good product. I like the grip on mine, with what I believe they call a wing, it was very supportive to the palm. So in looking around, I found an ERGON GP5, which is exactly what I was looking for. However, it looks too long. I'm having trouble finding dimensions on it, but what I've seen it is significantly longer than the 5.25" grip I currently have and the 5.5" space that is available. Any suggestions for something similar that would fit, or know if Ergon makes a shorter product? They talk about three different variations, but again, having trouble finding actual length numbers.

I have the GP5 grips and will try to remember to get pics for you. I'll take pics with the tape measure in place.
I'd guess you would also be able to move the bar mounted assemblies slightly inward to make up for the additional room.

Thanks, that would help, no one around me has them in stock to go look at.
I really don't have much room to move anything in and still be comfortable in a normal riding position, my arms would be straight in front of me practically. Maybe an inch. My room is 5.5 inches, and the only lengths I can find for some of the GP5's in 9". Supposedly there are two other configurations.

Thanks but no need to send a photo. I went to eBay, not to buy, but to see if they had better descriptions, and they did. So I know which option would fit my Sirrus now and will order. Thanks for the thought though, appreciate it.

Sorry I got distracted with life - we are having some major home repairs done at the moment and I have been managing chaos. Glad to hear you figured out the necessary info. I'm guessing you already ordered them - I was going to offer these to you if you were interested.

I understand, my kitchen has been torn apart since January. I have an Amish cabinet maker making new cabinets, and he was backordered until September. Guess I should have checked before we started tearing everything out. Bare drywall, one lightbulb hanging from the ceiling, ramboard floors and half my cabinets missing . . . all for 8 months now.

Ergon GP5s are fantastic. Between my wife and I we have them on four bikes and that's my go-to setup for any flat-bar bike. Highly recommended.
Yes, they make a shorter version, made for gripshifter setups. Even if you don't have gripshifters but just have limited space, those are the ones you want. Also note they come in Small and Large. That refers to the thickness of the grip, as in small hands or large hands. I prefer the large, my wife has the small. Just don't confuse the small/large with the regular/short (gripshift) sizing.
The last ones I bought are the cork, which look pretty sharp.

Round 1 here was the replacement of the sliding door to the deck and repairing all of the water damage in the structure above the foundation and below the door. That was not planned... and was beyond my skillset. Round 2 kicked off yesterday - remove about 500 sq ft of late 90's ceramic tile and 300 sq ft of 90's carpet and replace with LVP. I've been playing 3D tetris with furniture to make this happen. Monday included getting the half bath ready. I'm grateful for a great contractors that choreographed the finely orchestrated dance and the organized chaos of my project compared to yours.

I was going to suggest you have a handlebar issue. Glad the bar ends worked for you.
